RYA Level 2 Powerboat Training
The UK's most recognised powerboat qualification.
Service Description
The RYA Powerboat Level 2 is the UK's most recognised powerboat qualification and the ideal starting point for anyone who wants to get on the water with confidence. Whether you have never set foot on a powerboat before or you have some experience and want a formal qualification to back it up, this two-day course will give you the skills and certification to handle a powerboat independently. Over two days on the water around the stunning Llyn Peninsula, you will cover everything you need to become a safe and competent powerboat operator. The course includes close-quarters boat handling, docking in tight spaces, man overboard recovery, high-speed handling, and the fundamentals of chartwork, tides, and pilotage. Small group sizes of no more than three people mean you get maximum time at the helm with one-to-one guidance from your RYA-qualified instructor throughout. The PB2 certificate is valid for life and never expires. It is also the standard prerequisite for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), which is required to skipper or charter a vessel in many European coastal and inland waters including the Mediterranean. One course opens a lot of doors.
