The RYA Powerboat Level 1 is the perfect introduction to powerboating, designed for complete beginners who want to get on the water with confidence. In a single day you will cover everything you need to get started: launching and recovering the boat, basic driving techniques, coming alongside, and securing to a buoy. No experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go.
Level 1 is also one of the most accessible courses on the water. With a minimum age of just 8, it is a brilliant option for families looking to try something new together, as well as adults who want a relaxed first experience before progressing further. Small group sizes mean you get plenty of time at the helm, with an RYA-qualified instructor alongside you throughout.
