International Certificate of Competence (ICC)
Your Passport to Boating Abroad
If you are planning to skipper or charter a boat in Europe, the ICC is the certificate you need. Legally required by authorities and charter companies across many popular European coastal and inland waterways, it is the internationally recognised standard proof that you are a competent boat operator. Without it, you simply will not be allowed to take the helm in many of the most popular boating destinations in the world.
The good news is that if you already hold your RYA Powerboat Level 2, you are most of the way there. The ICC is not a training course in its own right but a formal certificate issued on the basis of your existing qualification. Our one-day assessment takes you through everything you need, and you leave with your certificate in hand the same day, ready for wherever the water takes you next.
